...Leaving on a Jet Plane...

In less than 20 hours, I will be headed to the airport to go to Europe. Yes, Europe. It hasn't quite hit me just yet, so the excitement of it all is still to come. I've been to Europe before, the summer after my freshman year of high school. My mom and I went on a vacation there and met up with an old friend of hers and my dads who was stationed in Germany for the Air Force. Six years later, and he's still there. Ergo, another vacation there.

I'm not exactly sure what our plans are for the upcoming week, as far as where all we're going. I know Germany is the bulk of our week--castles, churches, graveyards, museums, real history from tens to thousands of years ago. It's exciting stuff. We'll also be going to Paris for a couple days. That, too, is exciting. But ya know what I'm most excited about? It's not the buildings that are years old, or the landscapes that are rugged from wars, or even the autobahn where we'll be driving who knows how fast...the thing I'm looking forward to the most is the plane ride! Now, most normal people are probably thinking "What the heck are you talking about!? That's the worst part of the trip!" Well, ya see, I have a different take on it. Because within my one flight from the US to Europe, my 10 hour flight, I will not only get to see the sun SET over the ocean, but I'll get to see it RISE as well. And by golly, God's creation is the most beautiful thing, especially when He paints the skies! SO excited!! ...Oh how I hope I'm in a window seat! *cross fingers*
