Sweet Sound

Tonight I figured out a new favorite sound. And it's probably one of the only times when I'll say something like this in comparison to the loud, annoying, hormonal junior highers (whom I love to death). But I discovered the sweetest noise that just made me want to cry.

As Jason Lee and the band sang worship, which was amazing, they let the junior highers take it themselves. Normally, you'd hear only a couple little squeaky teens, but this was the most harmonious sound lifted to God. As the children sang, "You are the everlasting God. The everlasting God. You do not faint. You won't grow weary..." I was just awed by the power of the words and the passion in their voices. I don't know if it's the sound of children singing that is just inspiring, or if it was the act of worshipping someone so much bigger than them, or just the fact that they were so connected with Christ during that moment. I don't know. It was truly the sweetest sound I've heard in a long time.
